We've been on a bit of a tear in the last few months here at de'fchild HQ and with that we're proud to announce a new 12” record by Gys! Boston-based dub techno producer Gys, known for his deep, spacious, microsound-in-verb dub techno and the now classic album Art d'Echo, has been back in the studio in 2010, building out a new modular hardware setup and experimenting with advanced techniques in live hardware-only dubifications! “Tyrants” is the culmination of the these experiments and features Gys on the Elektron Machinedrum UW MkII, Jupiter 6, Virus Snow & Emulator II & Space-Echo! On remix detail, we're proud to introduce the musical talents of R. Audiard, a young producer from Boston making the deepest, consciousness-altering, hallucination-inspiring dub techno evocative of classics by DeepChord or Basic Channel.
